THRISSUR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL..

The smoke-filled world out there is really appealing. The films seem to be of more rightist mentality. Ya, it sure touches the matter, but the touch seem to be gentle thus lacking the deep scrutiny of the matters. Some as always is the case with the so called 'art films', are quite lagging. Yet there are some real thoughts n frames. I always thought why drag a subject which we can present in one and a half hours by another hour. It isn't really the concept of cinema. People get away from books for short form explanations and good visualizations. Yet there are some really delicious dishes from Borgman, Jules Dassin and Godard (classics). Retros of Shyam Benegal, Ritwik Ghatak and Omar Kavoor. Its always great when you can watch all these variations the same day. Am learning it. Lets see...

THE WORLD IS A BALL...

The festival of football begins on 16th..
The english premier league..
Once again the ball rolls down the turf of uncertain beauty..
With new additions of creative footballers, the teams are ready for the final go..
Arsenal as always injected some fresh blood into a squad with lot of creativity. Players to watch will be Fabregas, Vela and Adebayor...
Astonvilla have a manager who has a level head on his shoulders to make things bright in Martin Oneil. Players to watch- Agbonlahore, Young and Reo-coker..
Blackburn runs in with a loss of a long time manager. Might affect their game a bit. Players to watch- Santacruz, Derbyshere and Pederson..
Bolton shed some weight of them by selling El Hadji Diouf, a player who was lacked spirit. Boss Garry Megson would be still thrilled by the great comeback which ensured their spot in the top flight last season. Players to watch- Elmander. Kevin Davies and Martin Taylor..
Chelsea still don't seem to utilize the oil money usefully. A great manager in Scolari is a gain but i wonder whether Bosingwa is worth 16 million. They did justice to Makalele by selling him to PSG. Players to watch- Deco, Ballack and Kalou..
Everton is entering this season with lot of problems. Lack of good signings n injuries might give them a bad start and thus a bad finish. Players to watch- Anichebe, Arteta and Pienaar..
Fulham registered the most signings till now this season. But they don't seem to spend their money with some thought. Players to watch- Healy, Andy Johnson and Dempsey..
Hull city, one of the promoted teams, will have to try hard to be at the top flight after this season. Pemier league experience of players like Boateng and Anthony Gardner might help them. Players to watch- Geovanni, Bernard Mendy..
Liverpool insured with a strike power which is worth millions. A strike power to envy for other teams. But it all depends on the man who utilizes it, Rafa Benitez. Players to watch- Torres, Gerard and Ryan Babel..
Manchester city again have a new manager. The premier league experience of Mark Hughes is important to their progress. A UEFA spot is possible. Players to watch- Elano, Micheal Johnson and Jo..
Manchester united being the champions will have things to prove. Cristiano Ronaldo will be tested after his commitment was questioned. Injuries to Ronaldo and Rooney might give a shaky start to the campaign. Players to watch- Ronaldo, Anderson and Tevez..
Middlesbrough as always seems to have a team for an ordinary campaign. Southgate's managerial skills will be tested. Players to watch- Afonso Alves, Downing and Tuncay Sanli..
Newcastle united still don't seem to aquire players they need. Lacks the fire power again. Kevin Keegan is the vital thing. Players to watch- Obafemi Martins, Nzogbia and Beye..
Portsmouth might continue their last season run. Have some explicit talents in all sections. Players to watch- Defoe, Utaka and Kranjacr..
Stoke city might find the premier league an inappropriate stage. Don't seem to have the resources to cling to top flight. Players to watch Ricardo Fuller, Dave Kitson and Mamady Sidibe..
Sunderland is packing their ranks with some sense. There are players who can be the stars for a day, which might turn their fortune around. A test for Roy Keane as well. Players to watch- Kenwyn Jones, Miller and Craig Gordon..
Tottenham might be a serious contender for the champions league spot. With Juande Ramos in the manager seat, they might give a show to remember. Also look for some serious entertainers in Arshavin and Modrich. Players to watch- Arshavin, Luka Modrich and Darren Bent..
West Brom's come back season will make them play some tough football to retain the spot. The good management wing is their strength. Players to watch- Greening, Ismael Miller and Carson..
Westham united will be under serious pressure to make their owners happy. Maintains a good squad of experienced but unsuccessfull players. Players to watch- Ashton, Behrami and Bellamy..
Wigan Athletic might find it difficult to escape relegation this season. Players to watch- Jason Koumas, Valencia and Henry Camara..

Abhinav Bindra...
My dear fellow, thank you...
You just made me understand wat is pride...

Gold is worth more than a thousand for a gram now...
A member of parliament is worth lakhs...
A life is worth a lifetime...
War is worth litres of blood lost n gained...
Our silence is worth a lot of cheap gains...

Your gold medal's worth can't be assessed...
Its the pride of a nation...
You gave water to one who is very thirsty...
Your eyes showed me wat is being proud like...
Your smile showed me how happy v can get...
Thanks man...
It was great to hear "jana gana mana" in olympics...

Sure we care about the world...
But India is a feeling so deep n passionate...
You just made that feeling erupt...

The nation salutes you Abhinav...

CAN U TELL ME WATS HAPPENING??

Dear indians,

Our pride. Our beautiful nation.
Date : 22/07/08
Venue : Loksabha
Occasion: Meeting before no-confidence motion
Scene : BJP mp's holding bundles of indian currency, which according to them
was a bait to vote against no-confidence motion.
Gallery : People all over india, all over world interested in "watching" india..

Dear indians,

What does tat notes mean?
Was that the sale value of indian people?
Were indian politics this much entertaining recently?
Who is ruling india? Mukesh ambani?
Are we the people of india?
Are we dogs which will bark and won't bite?
Why would these stuffs affect us, right?
Lets enjoy it like another SRK movie with lots of colour and 'manoranjan', right?
Why should we ask our 'beloved' leaders to explain things, right?
Why should we deviate from our usual role of the 'show', long queues
in front of the booths and the hopefull pressing of the EVM, right?
The PM should never explain things to the society which made him PM, right?
Oh sorry, it wasn't the society, it was the 'high' command, right?
Can't blame him. He haven't even asked for a vote in his life.
Then why should he answer to those who votes, right?
An economist should never explain things. Thats the way. Carry on 'jaanii'...
The PM won't explain. Then why the AEC chairman should do, right?

Respected Dr. Anil Kakodkar( chairman, AEC),

You did a great job by doing an exclusive power point presentation about the nuclear
deal in presence of the distinguished scientists of our country. If you have some time
to spend, just take out an atlas and check how large a country india is. Then just think
how many of these indians are scientists. This will let you know that you did an exquisite
power point presentation which reached the nooks and corners of india. I am
overwhelmed. Thanks...

Dear indians,

Use your fingers first to point out, and then decide on the 'hopefull pressing of EVM'..

Sweat formed bubbles on his forehead..
It shaped small rivers through his cheeks..
He knelt down in front of her and kissed her womb
(he came from that) ..
He kissed her on her breasts
(it fed him) ..
He kissed her on her lips
(it kissed him first) ..
He kissed her on her palms
(it caressed him) ..
He kissed her on her bosom
(he slept there) ..
He looked at her and cried
(he won't see her anymore) ..
He killed her
(he loved her) ..

The colour of this saga is black..
It always took paths trodden and weared..
Its a venture of ruthless mistakes..
It has a discomforting aura of dreadful manias..
Its a never-ending ride with the 'if' twists and 'but' turns..
It was at times rendezvous with destiny..
It was at times a cast away with the floating feet which knew ' W=mg ' acts downwards..
It again liberated thirst with blurred visions of the magnum opus..
It painted scars in descends and more scars in ascends..
It began to lure with eventually fading loops of madness..
It sought heat from the threshold of madness and the falls mostly unpredictable..
It echoed silence, when the birds chirped ' a wunderkind', the birds in million colors..
Clinging to the chains, the eyes await more tantrums..
I know the fear was not the depth of the ocean, but the saline water..
Yes, the colour of this saga is an astounding black..
It always took paths trodden and weared..
