THRISSUR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL..


The smoke-filled world out there is really appealing. The films seem to be of more rightist mentality. Ya, it sure touches the matter, but the touch seem to be gentle thus lacking the deep scrutiny of the matters. Some as always is the case with the so called 'art films', are quite lagging. Yet there are some real thoughts n frames. I always thought why drag a subject which we can present in one and a half hours by another hour. It isn't really the concept of cinema. People get away from books for short form explanations and good visualizations. Yet there are some really delicious dishes from Borgman, Jules Dassin and Godard (classics). Retros of Shyam Benegal, Ritwik Ghatak and Omar Kavoor. Its always great when you can watch all these variations the same day. Am learning it. Lets see...
